XML (EXTENSIBLE MARKUP LANGUAGE ) KNOWLEDGE 5

(THIS POST IS FOR MADAM NORHASLINDA...THIS IS ESPECIALLY MADE FOR MY ASSIGNMENT REASON)
XML stands for eXtensible Markup Language.
XML is designed to transport and store data.
XML is important to know, and very easy to learn.

LEARNING XML CAN BE FUN BUT TIRING.....GOOD THINGS COME IN WHEN WE WORK HARD.....
THIS IS SOME OF THINGS THAT I LEARN FROM XML

FROM THIS...

--------------> THE XML DOCUMENT AND LASTLY --------------->TO XML TABLE

FOR TODAY ASSIGNMENT WHAT WE HAVE TO DO IS TO CONVERT FROM THE XML TREE TO XML DOCUMENT AND LASTLY TO TABLE......

1. XML TREE OF UNIVERSITY ORGANIZATION.

2. XML DOCUMENTATION

3. XML TABLE

Knowledge 3 (chemsketch)

THIS THREAD IS THE LAST THREAD I DEDICATE TO OUR BELOVED MISS nUR HASLINDA ENJOY!!!!!

THIS IS ABOUT CHEMSKETCH

CHEMSKETCH IS A SOFTWARE MADE TO TAYLORED THE NEED OF YOUNG SCIENTIST ON THE OVERALL CHEMICAL STRUCTURE OF A MOLECULE IT HELP US IN DRAWING THE CHEMICAL FORMULA OF A COMPOUND AND SOLVE THE COMPLEX MOLECULAR EQUATION ON COMPLEX CHEMICALS THESE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS RELATED TO CHEMSKETCH

ChemSketch is a PC package which can also be used to draw molecules, reactions, and schematic diagrams and includes powerful optimization and 3D visualization tools. Currently ChemSketch version 11 is available to CDS users. New features and capabilities introduced in version 11 include:

Interface changes, and new shortcuts and toolbar menus to streamline the workflow
Improvements in graphical representation, including a NEW 'antialiasing' option for chemical structures
Combined styles for American Chemical Society (ACS) journals and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) journals
Implementation of an InChI key generator to comply with new IUPAC protocols
Improved handling of coordination structures
Augmented handling of images and files, including support of .PNG format

KNOWLEDEGE 2 (microsoft excel)

this post is dedicatedto madam norhaslinda again
this post is on our assignment on excel
what is excel???
Microsoft Excel (full name Microsoft Office Excel) is a spreadsheet application written and distributed by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. It features calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables and a macro programming language called VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). It has been a very widely applied spreadsheet for these platforms, especially since version 5 in 1993. Excel forms part of Microsoft Office. The current versions are Microsoft Office Excel 2010 for Windows and 2008 for Mac.
these are some basic excel operation;
Microsoft Excel has the basic features of all spreadsheets,[1] using a grid of cells arranged in numbered rows and letter-named columns to organize data manipulations like arithmetic operations. It has a battery of supplied functions to answer statistical, engineering and financial needs. In addition, it can display data as line graphs, histograms and charts, and with a very limited three-dimensional graphical display. It allows sectioning of data to view its dependencies on various factors from different perspectives (using pivot tables and the scenario manager[2]). And it has a programming aspect, Visual Basic for Applications, allowing the user to employ a wide variety of numerical methods, for example, for solving differential equations of mathematical physics,[3][4] and then reporting the results back to the spreadsheet. Finally, it has a variety of interactive features allowing user interfaces that can completely hide the spreadsheet from the user, so the spreadsheet presents itself as a so-called application, or decision support system (DSS), via a custom-designed user interface, for example, a stock analyzer,[5] or in general, as a design tool that asks the user questions and provides answers and reports.[6][7][8] In a more elaborate realization, an Excel application can automatically poll external databases and measuring instruments using an update schedule,[9] analyze the results, make a Word report or Power Point slide show, and e-mail these presentations on a regular basis to a list of participants.

these are some of the things that we have done in excel

KNOWLEDGE 1(PDB-3D macro molecular)

There are three posts especially attributed to madam Noraslinda..today we are going to look at the latest topic in computer lab class the PDB - 3D macro Molecular)

The PDB archive contains information about experimentally-determined structures of proteins, nucleic acids, and complex assemblies. As a member of the wwPDB, the RCSB PDB curates and annotates PDB data according to agreed upon standards.

The RCSB PDB also provides a variety of tools and resources. Users can perform simple and advanced searches based on annotations relating to sequence, structure and function. These molecules are visualized, downloaded, and analyzed by users who range from students to specialized scientists.

through this valuable time i spent at class i am able to understand theCrystal structure of Bacillus subtilis Lon C-terminal domain that is very valuable for my study in biotech field.the Raswin software help me understand the overall molecule of
Crystal structure of Bacillus subtilis Lon C-terminal domain better.i can download the molecule structure at PDB WEBSITE its very easy download the file and then open it using your Raswin software....through this software also we are able to change the colour and also change the way we can display the structure

i've been writing about maple and chemsketch ain't i right...anyway those are due to the fact that i have to complete my task as our dearest madam norhaslinda ask us for it to be done.anyway today let us talk about latest hot topic on my fav Korean girl group SNSD.apparently they are beginning to spread their angelic wings and conquer japan for now.(hoping that this craze will hit Malaysia one day)Anyway their "Genie"

song struck the heart of many Japaneses and currently it's being talked a lot there.Selling like hot cakes,SNSD release another Japaneses single entitled "Gee"..well that is right it's the second translated version of their song after "Genie" dominated top spot in oricon chart....woah i believe that they will soon attack other Asian countries with their super duper quirkiness and cuteness (aegyo attack) soon....anyway Saranghe SNSD <3

MAPLE...

It has been a very long time since i've blogged into this lovable blog of mine. i consider myself lucky to be able to enter this digital world back after a long hiatus. Today i wanted to talk about the things that i've studied for the past seven week ....MAPLE.....huh?? what is MAPLE..maybe maple tree i guess... it turns out that it is actually a software that help us do our mathematical works much more easier. You can find a brief introduction about maple software HERE We learn several things in maple with our one and only lecturer Bro. Solihi. he wondrously teach us about this software that we are not familiar with. the version of maple that we use is Maple 12...

this maple version is suitable for my laptop with windows vista OS. For beginners like us we are introduced with several topics in MAPLE software during the first week including how to calculate things using the maple software like >2*2 which stands for 2x2 in maths... we got bored towards the end of the fist class as we can't understand some of the lecture towards the end of the class. this are some maple content...in the end of the seventh week these are the things that we havelearned

Finally....

sorry guys....ahhhhh......so sweet and refreshing...the air in this digital, robotic, mechanical world..after a long period of daunting classes on Saturday and Sunday, finally i'm able to scrutinized the blog that i have unattended for past few weeks. The hectic life in IIUM make me realize how tough it is living away from family at the far east of this lovely country of mine. even the fasting month has arrived signalling the calling of human to purify themselves and meet the one and only god(Allah S.W.T).Now,what i want to share is about kuantan bus terminal, situated close to the kuantan darul makmur stadium.

Yesterday my friends and i decided to go through the traffic jam in kuantan city in the search of our "raya" ticket. After fauwaz done with his issue pertaining to the 'ptptn' loan in muamalat bank...we ride the bike till we arrived at the bus station.

we parked our bikes and climb the staircase to reach the upper part of the station. The old blue building is a real nostalgic site reminding me of 1980's malaysia.arriving at the first level of the bus terminal....i myself was searching here and there for the express bus that will take me to my destination, tapah, perak. so my first target is the bus express under the company ##per ##ce...huh!!! (protecting the company identity) i asked him with my mother tongue,: "hmm, tiket untuk ke tapah ada tak pada 3/9 nie" which means:"hmm, sir is the ticket for the bus to tapah, perak available on this coming 3rd of september" the person behind the counter replied:"takde..takde" which means:"no...no(angrily)" and he then with his vinegar like sour face continue reading his me##o newspaper....ugh i said..luckily i'm fasting...i was so shocked with the bad service provided.Aren't this people implement even the slightest of societal politeness in their life...these type of people really make me wanna puke. For what reason are they being so arrogant..(maybe due to hungriness in ramadan)hahaha!!. then i myself again search for another counter and yet the same scene replayed..what a shame..finally i got my ticket which available on 4th of september at the counter of UTAMA express...RM40.80 quite expensive huh!!anyway i did not really care about the price as long as i can go back home for this raya...hihi..After we all bought our ticket we decided to go for a walk and buy our food for the iftar (breaking fast) that evening.

A few meters away from the terminal we arrive at kuantan bazar ramadan(or the bazaar of ramadan). This is one of the biggest bazaar in the whole city of kuantan for this ramadan..luckily the food sellers were very nice except that the food is too expensive...murtabak is like rm5.00 per piece..

i may have to think thrice before buying it hahahaa..after all the sight seeing and buying the foodstuff for the iftar, we drove off home back to our mahallah(hostel) at 6 pm...ok i think that's all for now bye

life has been hectic enough!!!!

For the past few days, i've been very busy with my life...registration ,taaruf and everything is damn so tiring.meeting new people make me realize i am truly in a foreign surrounding.Kuantan is a big city full of light culture and the most important part of it is the food. I just love the varieties."sata(fish paste wrapped in banana leaf and baked till it is yummy enough to be eaten),"otak-otak"(same as "sata" but wrapped in rectangular pieces rather than in pyramidal shaped of the "sata" and the "ikan bakar",the baked fish..One word to describe all of the delicacies DELICIOUS!!!.

the stall where i ate the ikan bakar "ana ikan bakar petai"

ikan bakar yummy!!!

come and visit kuantan and experience everything......enjoy
